Washington DC (February 14, 2011) - From 6 to 8 May, the Fair Trade Federation will bring together entrepreneurs, students, advocates, faith community members, concerned citizens, and interested individuals for their annual conference on the business of Fair Trade.
The Milwaukee, WI conference, held at the Hyatt Hotel, provides a forum where Fair Trade-minded individuals can learn how to advance the business of Fair Trade in North America. Attendees will participate in workshops, debates, discussions, social activities, and a marketplace of Fair Trade vendors. Entrepreneurs from across the world will come together to learn and debate about Fair Trade’s holistic approach to business and sustainable, positive change.
“For more than 60 years, Fair Trade Organizations have offered high quality products that create a tremendous, positive impact among the artisan and farmer communities worldwide,” says Carmen K. Iezzi, executive director of the Fair Trade Federation. “With this conference, we look to explore the successes of and challenges to building continued momentum behind Fair Trade in North America.”
The 2011 conference is made possible through the generous contributions of many sponsors and supporters, including Global Crafts.
